Anybody who lives in NYC knows that Spring here is basically just a week in late April and then boom, summer takes the floor.
It really is an awkward time of the year because Monday could be in the 70s and then Tuesday drops down to the 40s. The sun shines bright in the morning and then cold, misty, almost-rainy-but-not-rainy, air hits us on our way home from work. The season is toying with our emotions.
I do love mixing seasons in what I wear though. My Urban Outfitters black shorts and bralette set screams summer, but that poncho baseball jacket I thrifted keeps everything on the DL, and protects me from the unexpected cold hours. Those heavy Creepers from TUK also came out of nowhere and makes no sense in this outfit. My mom hates it when I dress like this. She says it’s confusing and unprofessional. But on a lazy Sunday on my apartment rooftop, who am I gonna confuse and why do I need to look professional?
It’s fun to travel between seasons.
