There’s some serious spring going on in NYC.
The days are longer, the breeze is calmer, and sandals are out on the streets. New York seems to be apologizing for the brutal March we had by handing us a delicious olive branch.
I had this cute A.L.C. top that I found at Intermix a couple months back. I wore it to many indoor events over the winter and really love how it looks with my Top Shop purple culottes. For this look, I couldn’t choose between my classic Aldo boots or velvet high-heel booties from Urban Outfitters, and I decided to wear them both. Those velvet booties though, I have to say, was on sale for $29! What a steal right? But since the color is so unique, the amount of time and money I spent on finding some matching clothes for this pair of shoes is probably worth almost $1000. On top of that I injured my ankle in Paris while wearing them -.-. What a pair of gorgeous troublemakers.
Chokers! Something that's so in but so out. They almost went from too hipster to too mainstream. Ever since they became over-worn around here I started to be more cautious about why I wear them. I spotted this little black ribbon tie choker on a mannequin in Zara and had the urge to rip it off of her. They are cheesy but adorable at the same time, giving just the right amount of extra zing to my neutral-colored outfit.
The off-the-shoulders fur coat look is me making a strong statement: “Bye felicia winter, we’re done here.”
