If there's a list of things that make fashion bloggers and photographers overly excited, a clean and wide white wall facing good sunlight is definitely on top of this list.
On Tuesday afternoon, we found the perfect wall right beneath a bunch of giant Chinese ads in Soho. Late August afternoon sunlight in Manhattan is extra passionate, making the wall so bright it almost has a holy glow.
I was wearing my new thrift find, an oversized sweatshirt from Buffalo Exchange. Yes, Buffalo Exchange. I've honestly never shopped there before but was impressed by their variety in styles. I dug this sweatshirt from a pile of old jackets, went home, and cropped it myself. Since it was awkwardly long, I cut the bottom to a reasonable length so it hangs right above my shorts. The shorts I was wearing is also DIYed from a pair of old pants, I tightened its waistline to better fit my body frame. Lastly, I paired the outfit with mesh earrings from Cos, a simple choker, a Topshop mesh tote bag, and my favorite Melissa platform boots.
Although the entire look seems sporty, the platform boots bring about some urban chic. Alas, platforms are life.
