It's been two and a half years since I moved to Manhattan and this is actually my first Christmas on the east coast. Every other year I had reasons to escape the city by going back home to California. Since my parents had retired and moved to Beijing, I ended up being an orphan in the big apple this winter.
New York City, being the high profile diva, is obviously beyond glamorous during the holiday season. Fancy Christmas trees, reindeer decorations, and all kinds of Christmas lights are in front of every important building. Salvation army bell-ringers and carolers sing around the city, and Manhattan becomes packed with tourists from all over the world.
Although the past week has been almost ice age, this Christmas weekend is actually quite warm. I'm able to wear my pleather culotte overalls(Top Shop) while showing half of my shin. My favorite COS coat is the perfect throw-on and I always like to color coordinate my inner shirt(Top Shop) with my scarf(Acne Studios).
Layering up is probably one of my favorite things to do in this season.
P.S. Dark lipstick is a must for cold days.
