A white wall, nice rug, good lighting, and high stool = the four things that bring our apartment's home studio to life.
Of course, this is after some aggressive window shopping at Crate and Barrel and West Elm. We realize home decor is really not an easy task. Whether if the placement of a certain plant is appropriate, or which colored rug is more photogenic, each decision is undoubtably important to the overall aesthetic. There's so much science behind this whole process.
The collection of photos here is a guinea pig project in our home studio. Kenny and I wanted to test the waters and were fairly impressed with the result. The lighting, color scheme, and outfit meshed in harmony, the photos turned out exactly how we imagined. I "ZARAed" myself up with a cartoon pattern dress shirt, something I don't normally wear, and a pair of black high-rise trousers.
With the Empire State Building faded in the background, I can already see a lot more beautiful projects being born here in the near future.
