All of a sudden, this week's temperature in Manhattan dropped to the 50s. Scarves and gloves made their debut of the year, and people started to wear Timbs and parkas on the street.
And the wind... omg, the one who actually rings the bell of this holiday season, is getting stronger each day. Although blue sky and warm sunshine are still with us, these other tell-tale signs make the arrival of winter inevitable.
As a west coast girl, I've always hated the cold. One of the few things that gets me excited about this season is probably my favorite Cos coat. I found it at the Soho store about a year ago and it's two sizes bigger than my normal coat size. Since it was the last one left I decided to get it anyway. I'm a die-hard fan of Cos' clean cuts, simple colors, and minimal style. This coat perfectly accentuates all of the above, it was love at first sight.
In this outfit, I wore a Calvin Klein fur-collar cardigan underneath. The fur is not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, saving me the trouble of a separate scarf layer. As usual, I chose all black for my bottom half. Black culottes, socks, and oxfords create a classic but subtle fashion statement.
